Status

Change the "Listening to 👻 Made with BotGhost.com 👻" status to something of your own!

Note: This module is only available to users with a Premium Subscription.

BotGhost provides a status module for its users. This module will allow you to change the status on your bot to something of your own. You can use and configure the module by heading to your dashboard, scrolling to the "Server Management" category, and clicking on "Status".

Status Mode

In this area, you can customize the mode of your status.

Below you can find some information about each mode. Click on the mode name to view more information about it.

Disabled

Nothing will appear in the bot's status if this option is selected.

The status will always stay the same until changed.

It will cycle through several statuses in the order they were added at a specified duration.

Allows you to change the bot's status via a command.

Status Settings

Each mode offers different settings for your status module. Below you can find some information about each of them

Fixed Status

In this area, you can customize the settings and appearance of your fixed status.

Status Type: Here you may choose the type of presence for your bot. It is displayed in front of your Status Text. You can select "Playing", "Watching", or "Listening to".

Status Text: Here you may choose the text that is displayed following your Status Type.

Rotating Status

In this area, you can customize the settings and appearance of your rotating status.

Status Duration: Here you may choose the number of seconds this status will display before rotating to the next.

Remove Status: Here you may toggle whether the bot will have a status/presence showing during this status rotation.

Status Type: Here you may choose the type of presence for your bot. It is displayed in front of your Status Text. You can select "Playing", "Watching", or "Listening to".

Status Text: Here you may choose the text that is displayed following your Status Type.

Note: To save the rotating status's settings, you need to click "Add" in the bottom-right corner of the settings. This will reset the fields so you can set up another rotating status.

In the Active Rotating Statuses section, you can view, edit, and delete the settings for the rotating statuses you added above.

When adding a new rotating status, it and its settings will appear in this section. All active rotating statuses will be ordered by the number in which they were created.

To view, edit, and delete the settings you selected above for that status, simply click the dropdown arrow next to the rotating status you wish to do so for.

Note: To save the edits you made on the rotating status's settings, you need to click "Edit" in the bottom-right corner of the settings.

Command Status Type

Customize the settings of the command usage when set as status mode.

Embeds Color: Pick the color for the embed responses. This will be used in all messages.

Status Command Channel Restrictions - Blacklist Type: Select whether you want to allow all channels except those listed below or only the channel you specifically select.

Status Command Channel Restrictions - Select Channels: Specify the channels you want to allow access for, or blacklist from using the commands based on your selection above.

Status Command Role Restrictions - Blacklist Type: Select whether you want to allow all roles except the ones below or only the roles you choose.

Status Command Role Restrictions - Select Roles: Specify the roles you want to allow access for, or blacklist from using the commands based on your selection above.

Commands

Here you can find the custom command for the status system.

/status: This custom command allows you to change the bot's status on your Discord server according to the settings you selected.

Events

Here you can find the events for the status system and modify them to your liking.

Restarts Handler: This event replaces your bot's status when it comes online if it was offline for whatever reason (including a restart).

Updates Handler: This event checks if you've made any changes to the module and applies them to your bot's status nearly instantly.

Rotating Statuses Handler: This event updates rotating statuses according to their settings. It does nothing if the Status Type is set to Fixed.

Warning: It's advised that you do not edit the events unless you have a good understanding of BotGhost and the Custom Event Builder. You can always reset the module to default if you happen to make a mistake while editing the event.
